Jaén, March 21, 2025
As part of the 11th Jaén Province Awards, held last Thursday, March 20, at the Jaén Trade Fair and Congress Center, SAPA reaffirmed its commitment to the province by announcing further progress in the implementation of its research, development, and testing center in the Nuevo Jaén Industrial Park.
The goal is for the center to be operational by 2026. It will represent a strategic investment in the region’s industrial development and the creation of 60 highly qualified jobs. SAPA’s CEO, Íñigo García-Eziaga, emphasized: “We are very pleased to be able to develop this cutting-edge technology with the talent of Jaén and the support of CETEDEX. This is a significant investment for us, but one we are making with great enthusiasm.”
During the event, SAPA’s pioneering role in the province was highlighted, as it was the first company in the sector to establish a partnership with the University of Jaén through a chair in the Faculty of Engineering. This collaboration has been key to promoting specialized training in defense and technology, and to strengthening the transfer of knowledge between the university and industry.
“Talent and the university are two fundamental pillars for SAPA because we want to grow here,” García-Eziaga emphasized, also highlighting that the strategic location and proximity to CETEDEX will make it “viable and reliable for the developments we achieve to reach customers and even become internationalized.”
With each step, SAPA strengthens its presence in Jaén and reaffirms its commitment to the University of Jaén, CETEDEX, and the development of the province, consolidating itself as a strategic ally for the technological transformation and growth of the region.
